Many of you have likely heard about the recent passing of Taylor Gandy, a remarkable individual whose deep love for culture and community left a lasting mark on Fort Worth.

Together with his wife, Shirlee, Taylor devoted decades of his life to supporting and strengthening the arts. His leadership and vision helped shape many of the organizations we continue to enjoy today:

• Chairman, Casa Mañana (2011–2013)

• Chairman, Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. (1996–1998)

• Chairman, Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival (1991)

• Chairman, Fort Worth Cultural District Committee (1991)

• President, Fort Worth Arts Council (1987–1989)

Taylor looked beyond what was and saw what could be — and through his vision, generosity, and service, he helped shape our city into the vibrant community we cherish today.
